North York Moors National Park Community Grant
We pay interest and have made several capital payments on our loan from the North York Moors National Park Sustainable Development. This money is then used to help fund community projects in the National Park. Their community grant fund 2016 is open for applications until the 30th June 2016.
Inspiring future engineers
Last November, we gave a talk entitled ‘Calling All Engineers (and Aspiring Engineers)’ for those interested in hearing about the history of the Esk Energy community turbine from an engineering point of view. We are now looking forward to welcoming participants of Whitby Rotary club’s Senior Engineering competition, including the winners, to site for a tour in late May, to hopefully inspire our engineers of the future. In June we will be giving a short talk to the entrants of the Primary Schools competition as they explore the ancient Greeks and electricity.
Spring on site

Spring arrived on site with the wild daffodils planted by children from Ruswarp Primary in bloom, flowers on the willow our volunteers planted and coltsfoot appearing by themselves.
