Esk Energy was interviewed as part of the process undertaken by Northern Power Grid in developing their strategy for engaging community energy organisations in the region over the next three years. Their community engagement strategy was recently published, with a photo from an Esk Energy event on the front cover.
Northern Power grid has committed to:
- Doing more face to face engagement with two events per year designed with and for community energy organisations
- More innovation projects with communities
- Review our connections process and flexibility procurement to explore offering greater support for community energy organisations
- Using our industry position to feed back to the government and Ofgem what community energy organisations say they need to thrive.
They are holding their next community energy engagement event as a webinar on the 18th June, where they’ll be asking for your feedback on the strategy and next business plan, as well as discussing their connections process, future energy scenarios and support for community energy organisations.
