TV Presenter ‘Digs’ Community Co-operative’s Green Energy Scheme
TV reporter Adrian Pitches made something of a splash on Saturday, 19 May, when he visited Ruswarp to mark the start of the installation.

Adrian Pitches, environment correspondent for BBC Look North, broke the ground to get proceedings under way which will result in a generation of green energy powered by the River Esk.
Adrian Pitches, said:
I think the Esk Energy community co-operative is an excellent project – for nearly 100 people to club together and invest in green energy is very impressive.

New look website
Whilst there has been a slight delay to work starting on site, with the contractor now due on site on Monday 28th May, this hasn’t held up the launching of the updated Whitby Esk Energy website. The new website will enable us to keep everyone up-to-date with the construction phase and with generation once the turbine is commissioned.
